What Is Ophcrack ?

Opcrack is an open source windows password cracker 

based on rainbow tables. It comes with Graphical user interface(GUI) and runs on multiple platform such windows, Linux and mac.  It allows you to recover or hack windows password.

How To Crack Windows 7 Password Using Ophcrack ?

Before you start doing this you will need a blank CD or DVD to burn the live image of ophcrack.

1. Download Opcrack Live Cd by Clicking Here. Download windows xp or windows 7 live CD depending on platform you are wishing to hack. For example:

• Windows 7 or Windows Vista: Click on ophcrack Vista/7 LiveCD.
• Windows XP: Click on ophcrack XP Live CD.

2. Now burn the live image on to the CD.

  

3. Insert the disc into drive and restart you computer.

  

4. If everything goes right you will see screen like below.

  5. After you see screen like above wait for ophcrack to boot automatically or you may press Enter to advance.

  

6. Now you will see several lines of code printed on screen or they might disappear very quickly (you don't need to worry about that).

 7. Then you will see screen like below it is ophcrack password recovering software. At the Ophcrack screen it shows the Administrator and Guest account. Notice the word “empty”. This means that if the account is enabled you could log in without a password.

  8. Ophcrack WILL NOT CRACK THE PASSWORD because the hash table which it needs is not available for free. But it does show the NTLM hash.

 9. Copy this hash value which is under NT Hash field.

 10. Navigate to http://crackstation.net/ which is an online hash cracking tool.

11. Type in the hash value you copied down in step 9, Enter the captche and click on Crack Hashes.

How to Enable Telnet on Windows 7

How to enable telnet on windows 7? By default telnet is not installed in Windows 7, but you can activate the telnet client manually.

Telnet is a network protocol used on the Internet or local area networks to provide a bidirectional interactive text-oriented communication facility using a virtual terminal connection. User data is interspersed in-band with Telnet control information in an 8-bit byte oriented data connection over the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).

Telnet was developed in 1969 beginning with RFC 15, extended in RFC 854, and standardized as Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Internet Standard STD 8, one of the first Internet standards.

I think the main reason telnet client was disabled by default in Windows 7 maybe because of its security issue since telnet protocol was built in 1969 (more than 40 years).

The step by step to Enable Telnet on Windows 7:

1. Open the control panel, or you can go to Run and type control.

2. Click the "Programs and Features".

3. After that the window will shows the program lists, click on the left side "Turn Windows features on or off". You also can go to this step directly by typing appwiz.cpl on Run or type it on search box(start menu).

4. A new window "Windows Features" will pop out. Find and check the "Telnet Client" option.

5. To activate telnet client through command prompt:

pkgmgr /iu:"TelnetClient"

6. To deactivate telnet client through command prompt:

pkgmgr /up:"TelnetClient"

If you get an error: operation failed with 0×80070057 The parameter is incorrect, try this one:

start /w pkgmgr /uu:TelnetClient

7. To test whether your telnet client work or not, you can try by following the tutorial how to send email using telnet or how to browse website using telnet.

Learn To Hide Files Behind The Images

There are some important  files or document you want to hide from others on your computer. To do that you might be creating folder inside folder to hide such files but in todays tutorial i will change this by teaching you a interesting trick to hide files behindimages.To hide a file behind a image  means that if any one opens that image he will see the image, but to see the hidden file we need to open that image in a specific way. So lets get started.

How To Hide File Behind Image ?

In order to do this you should have basic understanding of command line, but if you don't know check out  tutorial given below.

1. Select an image to be used for hiding file behind the image.

2. Now select a file to hide behind the image and make it in .RAR format. With the help of the WinRAR.

3. And most important is that paste both the files on desktop. You may do this anywhere instead of desktop if you have some basic understanding of command line.

4. Now open cmd by going to Start > Accessories > Command Prompt and type following commands in it.

cd desktop

5. CD stands for change directory by typing above command you change your directory to desktop. After that type command given below.

 Copy /b imagename.jpg + filename.rar finalimage.jpg

• Replace imagename.jpg with the name of image you want your file to be hidden behind. Don't forget to add image format (Eg: .jpg,.png,.gif)
• Replace filename with name of your file you want to hide. It must be in .rar format.
• Finally Replace finalimage.jpg with whatever name you want your final imagewith hidden files should be. This is the image where your file will be hidden.

6. Now when you will try to open this newly created image it will open as normal image, but to open you hidden file you need follow steps given below.

How To Access Hidden File ?

To access your hidden file you need to open the newly created image in winrar. Just follow simple steps given below to do that.

    1. Open winrar

    2. Now locate your image and open it or simply drag your image in winrar.

    3. Extract the file and done.
